Leh – Nubra Valley via Khardung-La Pass

On this day transfer to Nubra Valley –

Khardung La Pass (17,982 feet).

Diskit Monastery

Day 04 :
Explore Nubra Valley – Hundar - Turtuk

On this day excursion for –

The northernmost village in India situated in the Nubra Valley, on the banks of the Shayok river. It is the Balti region that was under Pakistan’s control until 1971, after which India gained control over this important area.

Turtuk is the last out-post of India at Thang after which Pakistan-controlled Gilgit-Baltistan begins.

Turtuk is famous for its varieties of fruits, especially apricots.

Day 05 :
Nubra Valley – Pangong Lake via Shayok Route

On this day transfer to Pangong Lake –

Pangong Tso (high grassland lake) is a high altitude salt water lake, the lake is so huge that 70% of it is in China and 30% is in India.

Day 06 :
Pangong Lake – Hanle via Rezang La war memorial

On this day transfer to Hanle –

En-route - Rezang La war memorial

Hanle has a lovely Monastery offering some great aerial views of the whole village that is a home of about 1000 people with altitude of 4500 Mtrs.

The Hanle Observatory is operated by the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bengaluru and currently the second highest optical observatory in the world, with an installed telescope of about 2.01 meters (6.5 feet) diameter.

Day 07 :
Hanle – Umling La – Hanle

On this day excursion for –

The highest motorable road in the world.

Umling La is a mountain pass in Ladakh, India on the ridgeline between Koyul Lungpa and the Indus River near Demchok. At an elevation of 5,640 metres, it forms the source for the Umlung stream that drains into the Indus and a tributary of the Kiungdul River that drains into Koyul Lungpa.

Day 08 :
Hanle - Leh via Chumathang

On this day transfer to Leh –

On the way you can explore Chumathang (Hot Spring ).

Lunch break at upshi village.

Leh Drop Off
